Me & Santa
Every year Santa comes to Ascension Equipment in Gonzales and gives candy canes to the children. The children take their picture with Santa are given a nice 5x7 to take home. Saturday I took Glenn and my Godchild, Cole, to visit Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Cole was a big boy, but Glenn wasn't too sure!!!
After playing in the snow for a while, Glenn was coming in the front door and fell. He hit his forehead on the corner of the door frame. It made a red line where it actually hit and formed a bruise with a knot. Thank goodness he was wearing his beanie or it may have made a cut. Looks more bruised in person. He is tough!
Well we started our day off with an amazing morning. We woke up at 6:20 with our neighbors screaming SNOW! SNOW! Kirby and I quickly grabbed Glenn and got dressed. As we went outside we saw one of God's most beautiful sites. Big flakes of snow were every where and dropping fast. Like Christmas Angels were pouring buckets of it on us. We had the start of a white Christmas. I didnt want it to end. It was so pretty and left such a warm happy feeling in me. Glenn would look up and laugh. Little fella didnt have gloves - think Santa is putting some in his stocking, so he would not hold the snowball Daddy made him. It was a great family moment. Below are a few pictures I took. Thanks God!

"Representing the Wolf Pack"
As most of you know Glenn's older brother plays football for Redemptorist High School. We have an amazing team of young men this year and are in the playoffs. We took Glenn to the first playoff game when we played Kaplan. His hair was spray painted green to represent our Wolf Pack. He was a hit, everyone loved him and he did a great job cheering!

The last 2 Saturdays Glenn has gone tailgating with daddy. They love it. He enjoys being outside at LSU all day and daddy loves showing him off. When he is tired and needs a nap daddy just puts him in the wagon next to the ice chest. I think Kirby needs a bigger wagon or smaller ice chest. My baby looks crammed. We could easily rent him out to the guys who want to use him to pick up chicks! He is a lady's man and a definite chick magnet. He met a girl named Dana (has the purple long sleeve shirt with LSU on it and short hair in the slideshow) and they took a liking to each other. They played a lot and even dance a few times under the big tent. He kept blowing her kisses. I think he is gonna like those older women like daddy!

Well, we had our first major accident last night, 10/7/08. It was about 8:15 pm, I was doing dishes, and Glenn pulled one of my barstools down on his foot. I turned around to see him standing in a puddle of blood and lots of it. I immediately put his foot under the facet and let cold water run on it. Kirby was hauling a load and Brandon was home with me, thank God! I screamed for Brandon who called Kirby to see if we should go to the ER b/c the toe nail on his big toe of the left foot was hanging and I couldnt stop the bleeding. After debating and speaking with Kirb and my mom off to St. Elizabeth we went. Once we arrived we were told he would need stitches but he had to be put asleep for this, which required an IV. They gave him meds to relax him and then attempted to start an IV, after 6 sticks they FINALLY got one to stay in. They asked me to leave after the third b/c he wanted me so bad. With a broken heart and alligator tears I left the room. Brandon was able to stay with him. I can still hear him screaming, it was the worst experience ever. I cried so hard but prayed even harder. When I got back in the room Brandon was holding him, I felt so proud of my boys. He was finally out and the procedure took approximately 5 minutes. They were fast. He took 4 stitches to the big toe which will fall out on their own. They gave him oxygen and monitored his heart rate and blood purse during the procedure. He has a splint with an ace bandage to secure the foot and keep it from being hit, an antibodic for infection and pain medicine. A little after midnight we arrived back home. Brandon got up at 5:30 to go to school and play a football game on Wednesday. You are an awesome brother Brandon and terrific son. Mom couldnt have done it without you. I made it almost 16 years with never experiencing stitches, Glenn turns 1 and off we go to the ER, I think he is gonna give me a rougher time! Im glad it is over and he is playing again. Now I know how Tammy feels!

As most of you know, Kirby's brother-in-law was in a bad accident that put him in the hospital for a while. While Tammy was at the hospital with Daniel Alex came and spent the night with us. Below are some pics of Glenn's first sleep over. They had a ball and both boys were so good. Oh, and NO the drinks were NOT suppose to be in Glenn's room. We went straight to the kitchen after the picture.
Well Glenns birthday was September 5. I cant believe my angel turned one! The year has gone by so fast. I feel like yesterday I just found out I was pregnant. We had a big party planned for him on September 6; however, mother nature had other plans. Hurricane Gustav hit and we were left with no electricity. Kirby's immediate family and mine came over and we had a small cake on Sept 5. I couldnt let the day pass without acknowledging my baby. The weirdest thing was after we sang and he (mom) blew out the candle the lights came on. You think thats what he wished for? I tried to get him to wish to when the lottery but nothing!
